Construction Features and Operation Principle

The arrester features non-linear high-quality metal oxide varistor internals with a silicone rubber molded exterior.

Under normal conditions, the surge arrester maintains high resistance with only microampere current flow, ensuring no impact on equipment operation. During overvoltage events, the arrester switches to low resistance, conducting kilo-ampere current while maintaining voltage within safe limits to protect connected equipment.
